We run targeted campaigns against the abuse of animals in Sheffield. Through these campaigns we can dramatically reduce the amount of animal suffering in the area and, in doing so, help establish the city as not only the greenest city in Europe, but also one that will not stand for the mistreatment of animals.
The first of these campaigns was our petition to stop Zippos Circus from returning to Sheffield, following from our highly successful demonstrations outside the circus in 2017.
Sheffield City Council have the power to allow, or not allow, the circus to return. We want to make it clear the animal abusers are not welcome in Sheffield and that a decision to not grant the circus to return would be welcomed by the people of Sheffield.
Although the petition has ended, work on this campaign is ongoing.
